Our nursery building and facility

Appletree is situated in an attractively converted stable block which is set in a well-protected, six acres smallholding. The children love the resident ducks, chickens, kunekune pigs, alpacas and donkeys.
There is a fenced off play area outside that is completely secure. We actively encourage the children to play outside and soak-up the beautiful environment and fresh air every day. Each room has its own outside garden and play area. We also have a large area dedicated to raised bed planters for fruits, flowers and vegetables. The children enjoy planting every year and their produce is used by Diane in the kitchen!
Outside we have a large selection of sit'n'rides, trikes, together with slides, see-saws, tunnels and catch and throw games.

Our qualified staff

Appletree Day Nursery is owned by Jane Alsop Ronzoni, who has been in childcare for over 20 years. Appletree Day Nursery is run jointly with Jane's management team, led by our Manager, Ellen Rodgers and our Deputy Manager, Laura Duthie. Our Healthy Eating, Food and Nutrition is managed by our dedicated nursery cook, Diane Cullimore.
Most of our staff are qualified with either a B.Tec. Diploma in Nursery Nursing, NNEB, Playworker or NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care and Education. The few not already qualified are working towards qualified status. We constantly update our training in First Aid, Safeguarding, Behaviour, Food Hygiene and many other areas.
All staff are DBS checked and on the DBS update system. Staff have a minimum of 2 references. |

Appletree Day Nursery's mission is to supply the best possible care and pre-school education for children from birth to 5 years of age, using high quality educational aids, in an environment and location conducive to learning. Appletree is committed to following applicable National Minimum Standards as laid out by the Minister for Health and Social Services of the Welsh Assembly Government.
We have achieved our "Quality Assurance" mark with Wales PPA and are members of Early Years Wales, NDNA Cymru and Clybiau Plant Cymru. We continue to achieve high standards in our Care Inspectorate Wales inspections. All our reports can be viewed at the nursery or online.

Parking and security
|
Appletree Day Nursery has a good sized car park off the main road where parents can safely park when dropping off and picking up their children. For added security, there is a camera intercom system at the main entrance.
